Center for Suburban Climate Action

Join Us in Morristown, New Jersey

Impact Hub New York Metropolitan Area has launched America’s First “SubUrban” Climate Action Center, located in Morristown, New Jersey.

The Center for SubUrban Climate Action is a community space that supports passionate change makers and spearheads initiatives to address climate change and other urgent social challenges represented by the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.

The center welcomes businesses, organizations, and individuals who are interested in improving their impact on people and the planet to become members. Members are able to access our collaborative co-working space, attend community events, and access support to learn more about their own impact on the climate and how they can decarbonize their operations. Learn about membership opportunities here.

The Center for SubUrban Climate Action is spearheading “The Morristown Climate Project,” an exercise to learn about local sentiments related to climate change and other social issues, as well as measure the carbon footprint of the town. The goal is to be able to make informed policy recommendations to help Morristown and the suburbs decarbonize while moving to the forefront of the new economy. Read more here.

“We launched this center because we believe we have a responsibility to help combat the greatest challenge of our generation, Climate Change, while also advancing progress on other urgent social issues. We believe our center can play a role in helping suburbs across the region and country decarbonize while becoming more sustainable and equitable in the process.”
